About

Hola! Welcome! I am so happy you are here! I am a mother of two, a postpartum doula, cantadora (singer), and lover of our madre tierra (mother earth). My hijo (son) is five and my hija (daughter) is almost 2 years old and it is an honor to learn from them every day. I grew up in Ambos Nogales, a twin sister city located on the border of Arizona and Mexico. As a bilingual Mexican-American who grew up on the border, I continue to learn how to walk through the borders, liminal spaces, and the realms of spirituality, of being human, of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum periods with reverence, awe, curiosity, an open heart, humor, and being ok with saying “I don’t know, let’s figure this out together.”

One of the many things I have learned from being a mother, a birthing person, and a birth worker is that during postpartum us birthing folks are left with little to no emotional, spiritual, mental, nor hands on support during such a tender, powerful, and critical time. It does not have to be this way! As a postpartum doula, I support you and your family during your sacred postpartum time, and I trust in your innate abilities to tap into your intuition and capabilities as a birthing person and parent. You know what is best for yourself and your baby, and I am here to support you. Everyday you invite me into your home for your postpartum care I meet you where you are. I am here to provide the space you need in order to be supported, cared for, and celebrated! You only experience your postpartum ceremony once and it would be an honor for me to be a gentle, neutral, heart-centered, and understanding support for you and your family.

The same is true for when we are at our most vulnerable, or emotionally and spiritually “stuck”, and need a safe space to be seen, heard, and guided. In many cultures all over the world ancestral wisdom and modes of healing are an integral part of society. All the services I offer are deeply rooted in my Mexican-American culture – Curanderismo – teachings that I have been blessed to have been given by my teachers, and through my heart. As a spiritual support, I offer the same presence and spirit by offering limpias, which are spiritual and energetic cleanses using plants, smoke from plant resins and incense, flower essences, and much more. My support also includes platicas, which are heart-to-heart talks and listening, where meditations, rituals, journal prompting, advice, and other healing modalities are all recommended when appropriate. And lastly, Cantos – Cantos are healing songs that I sing to promote feelings of peace, ease, and well being. These offerings are not meant to replace any recommendations or advice given to you by your physician or other healthcare providers. They may, however, work quite beautifully together, where appropriate. You only experience this lifetime once and it would be an honor to be of spiritual support to you!
